What is a space
A Space
A Space typically maps to a business or practice. A Space has your billing information (name, practice number (if relevant), logo, etc.). A good rule of thumb is that if you want a different name, logo and banking details on your invoices, you likely want a new Space. An example would be if you have a Biokinetics practice and a Pilates practice, and you want to bill separately for each.
- A Space has its own appointment types, locations, branding and invoice details. Locations, appointment types, branding, etc, are not shared between Spaces.
- A practitioner on your account can be a member of multiple Spaces at no extra cost.
- A practitioner who is a member of Space A, but not of Space B, will not have access to the contacts and appointments in Space B.
- do create a Space if: You need a business or practice on your AppointmentGuru account that has different business details from your existing Space
- do not create a Space if: Your same business/practice operates from multiple locations, the branding and billing is the same for both. In this case, it is better to add a location to your existing Space.
The difference between a Space and a Location
- A single Space can have one or more Locations, each with their own operating hours and appointment types. Multiple Locations within a single Space will share the same branding (name and logo) and billing/bank details.
- Multiple Spaces can have multiple Locations. Each Space will have their own branding and billing details.
How to set up multiple Spaces
- In your AppointmentGuru account, go to the Settings on the left > Spaces, click on + New Space on the right.
- Give your new Space a name and it'll load, allowing you to do more config such as adding bank details, invoice notes, appointment types etc. 1. Once you're finished and you create a new appointment, you'll be able to select which Space the appointment should be for.
- If you have existing appointments that you'd like to shift to the new Space, you can do so by clicking on them > Open Appointment > Change next to Appointment type.
