Adding ICD-10 codes to your appointments

You can easily add ICD-10 diagnosis codes to your appointments so that you can create invoices that the medical aids will accept

To add ICD-10 codes to an appointment

  1. Click on the appointment
  2. Choose "manage codes"
  3. You can type in your ICD-10, process, NAPPI and prices here
    1. You can click on the search icon to search our database of ICD-10 codes
  4. Typically, you will add 3 to 5 process/tariff codes per ICD-10 code
    1. For this reason, if you click the "add and add another" button, it won't clear your previous input - because typically you only need to change the process code and the price

Some notes to help you add ICD-10 codes efficiently

  • The text box where you enter the codes is free text - although we make it easy for your to search codes and enter them in a standardized format, you are free to enter whatever text you like in the field
  • As you use AppointmentGuru, it will remember ICD-10 and process codes you used previously - you can choose these from the quick pick that populates as you type
  • In the search window:
    • if you want to add multiple codes (for example: S30 / S30.2 / S30.23), toggle the "multiple codes" switch
    • You can search on a keyword (for example "lower back"), or for a specific code (for example: "S30")
