Cloning (or duplicating) appointments

Clone (copy) an appointment to duplicate the appointment information to various new dates or clients.

Clone an appointment by date to copy information from an appointment to multiple different dates:

  1. Click on the appointment > Clone.
  2. Select Clone by date and select the dates you would like to duplicate.
  3. Click Create.

Clone by client to duplicate an appointment to a number of different clients (eg. if you offer a class with a group of clients):

  1. Click on the appointment > Clone.
  2. Select Clone by client and select the clients you would like to duplicate.
  3. Click Create.

Important behaviour specific to cloned appointments:

  • Automated behaviours are not executed (rules will not be run for automated appointments and client treatment plans will not automatically be added).
  • Cloned appointments inherit some functionality from recurring appointments. In particular, you can reschedule or delete the entire series. However, the first appointment is not included in the recurring series.
  • Cloned appointments will always be created with a status of "new", regardless of the status of the initial appointment.
  • You cannot clone an appointment that uses an online appointment type (because these require creating meetings in Zoom).
  • If you have manually edited a custom invoice title (and it contains the date), be aware that the date information will be copied to cloned appointments.
