Cloning (or duplicating) appointments

Clone an appointment to duplicate the appointment information to various new dates or clients

To clone an appointment, click on the appointment -> clone.

Clone by date

Clone by date allows you to copy information from an appointment to multiple different dates.

How-to: Choose "clone by date" -> select the dates you would like to duplicate -> click create x appointments

This can be useful, for example, if you have a client who starts seeing you regularly.

Clone by client

You can also duplicate (clone) an appointment to a number of different clients.

How-to: Choose "clone by client" -> select the clients you would like to duplicate -> click create x appointments

This could be useful, for example, if you take a small class with a few different clients.

Important to know

It is important to be aware of some behaviour specific to cloned appointments:

  1. Automated behaviours are not executed. For example:
    • Rules will not be run for automated appointments
    • Client treatment plans will not automatically be added 2.Cloned appointments inherit some functionality from recurring appointments. In particular, you can reschedule or delete the entire series.
    • Note: The first appointment is not included in the recurring series
  2. Cloned appointments will always be created with a status of "new", regardless of the status of the initial appointment
  3. You cannot clone an online appointment type (because these require creating meetings in Zoom)
  4. If you have manually edited a custom invoice title (and it contains the date), be aware that the date string will be copied to cloned appointments)
