How do notifications work?
Save time, do less admin with AppointmentGuru's automatic notifications
The information contained in this article may be incomplete or relate to an older version of AppointmentGuru
One of the beautiful parts of AppointmentGuru are the automated notifications. Allowing notifications to automatically run in the background allows you to focus on your business and other important parts of your life.
There are eight notifications (email or SMS) that are setup by default:
Payment reminder: this notification is no longer used and the template will be removed from the notification settings.
Cancellation notification: confirms cancellation of an appointment.
Appointment reschedule notification: if an existing appointment is changed, then a notification is sent.
Appointment reschedule notification (for practitioner): If a client reschedules the appointment themselves (using the mobile app), this is the notification sent to you.
Appointment reminder: a reminder notification is sent to the client the day before the scheduled appointment.
New appointment notification: the notification sent to you when a new appointment is created by a client.
Client has added a note to this appointment: When a client makes an appointment via the mobile app or on your website, they have the option to add a message which is sent to you.
Appointment confirmation message: the notification sent to the client when they create an appointment.
By default, the above notifications are sent automatically unless you've specified that they mustn't be sent when taking action on an appointment.
